DITCHING AND EGRESS
This course will equip you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to survive a water landing emergency. It covers the FAA Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI) curriculum for water survival training, plus a whole lot more. Whatever type of aircraft you fly, you will become more aware of the risks associated with flying over bodies of water and more informed for pre-flight planning, in-flight decision making, aircraft ditching techniques. You will practice actual water survival skills in a realistic but controlled and safe environment. Training takes place in both classroom and pool environments and covers not only water survival scenarios, but also how to reduce associated anxieties. Training culminates with the opportunity to challenge yourself in the Shallow Water Egress Training (SWET) cage, the same technique used to train military flight crews. Basic swimming skills are helpful, but not required.

Confidence for Adventure
In an emergency, we don't rise to the challenge. We fall back to our level of training.
